Ang unang nakapagpagalit kay Joaquin ay ang sorry ni Chichay. Para sa kanya ay di ito sapat. 

Ngunit ngayon ay ito na ang salitang gusto niyang sabihin.

"Sorry."

Naghahanap ng pagkakataong masabi ito kay Chichay ngunit wala na ang yaya niyang isang tawag lang sa intercom ay nandiyan na. 

Kinakabahan. Nag-aalinlangan. 

Marami na siyang nagawang di maganda kay Chichay pero sa isip niya ay nararapat lang ang mga yun para sa babaeng marami nang nagawang kasalanan sa kanya. Inisip niyang kulang pa nga ang mga 'yon sa lahat ng mga ginawa ni Chichay: ang muntikang "pagpatay" sa kanya ng dalaga, ang pagkaalis ng dalawa sa mga pinakamahalagang tao sa buhay niya, ang pagpasok sa kwarto niya na di nagpapaalam, ang pagiging madaldal, ang pagkasintunado, ang pagiging makulit at superweird...

ang pagpapabaliktad ng mundo niya. 

The need to say sorry did not come first. At the dinner table he looked for her -- "Where's Chichay?" -- before he even knew she was innocent, that he had unjustly accused her of betraying his trust, of breaking her promise to him. 

The shock of not having her around anymore came before the realization that he owed her an apology. In other words, he wanted her around not because he needed to apologize. He wanted her around even when he thought she had betrayed him.

And so Joaquin's quest to say sorry to Chichay has begun.

He called her, only to chicken out upon hearing her voice. He wanted to apologize for not having caught her during their dance's "dip," but all he could say was: "Hindi ko sinasadya." He tried texting her an apology for that and for everything else, but even that never got sent. 

The word he once took for granted and actually resented because it was from her is now the word he most wants to say to her. 

The boy, who was so angered by a girl's "sorry po" with matching curtsy, has no clue know that the only other man she has apologized to in that way is the man most important to her: Papa Bear. (And her own father called it "pagpapacute" :D)

Do not lose heart, Joaquin. The perfect moment will come :)
